Welcome to the 11th Purley (St. James) Scout Group

Cubs by Campfire

The Cubs section is open to young people aged 8 - 10 1/2. During their meetings our Cubs could be doing anything from playing team based games to arts and crafts, cooking, first aid or taking part in outdoor Scouting activities. They also work on their badges, which count towards achieving their Chief Scout's Silver Award.

Other activities include days out, and joining in on District-wide events, such as quizzes and Scouting skills competitions with other local Scout groups.

We also offer summer and winter camps, where many Cubs have had their first experience sleeping in a tent and singing around a camp fire.

Between the ages of 10 1/2 to 11, Cubs have the opportunity to move on to Scouts.
