Parents
Here at 11th Purley, we like to think that all parents and carers of our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have some part in the adventure, whether they realise it or not!
Helping out doesn't mean you have to give time every week for meetings or take time from work to go off camping, although some of our parents do, and thoroughly enjoy it! Transporting equipment, helping out at a barbeque or taking notes at an Executive Committee meeting are just some examples of how parents can help.
Even if you can't give up any of your time, just by encouraging your child to pack their bags independently for camp, helping them achieve some of their badges at home, and turning out to our family social events, you are still involving yourself in helping the group and helping your child get the best out of Scouting.
Everything you do is appreciated!
